Riz au Lait in the cooking machine 'Monsieur Cuisine'

A few weeks ago, I bought a Monsieur Cuisine from Lidl.

Although I like to cook in a traditional manner, I was somewhat hesitant at first. However, I am pleasantly surprised by the results and now use it multiple times per week!

The sole issue I encounter is with the opening and closing of the bowl, as it requires a significant amount of strength, likely due to the newness of the equipment.

  • 1 l milk

  • 160 g rice

  • some cinnamon (optional)

Preparation

Pour 1000 gram of semi-skimmed milk into the Monsieur Cuisine and cook for 6 min / 90°C / speed 1 without the measuring cup.

Add 160 gram of white round rice, 20 grams of vanilla sugar, 80 grams of caster sugar and 1 pinch of caster cinnamon (to taste) and (optional) to the mix.

Cook for 35 mins / 90°C / speed 2 with the measuring cup on the bowl lid to avoid splashing.

Pour the content of the mix into ramekins.

The rice pudding will thicken as it cools. Serve warm or cold.
