Du rugby, des potes et de la bonne bouffe : bienvenue à la Cantine du Troquet !
I have known Christian for a number of years and it is the cheerfulness and friendliness itself!
I have never eaten less or not well there and that is almost impossible because everything, really everything, is prepared à la minute. Christian always joins us. Catch up and tell stories, especially with a nice glass of wine! Often there are also 'a few special dishes for you' from the house. Without a doubt, I take my friends here. It's like home, at the dinner table.
It doesn't matter what time it gets.. that's how it goes at home, right?!
Christian is the owner of several “bistronomic” restaurants in Paris which excel in French cuisine from the South West and in Rungis under the “La Cantine du Troquet” brand.
Its restaurants have a spirit based on three pillars: good food, kindness and friendliness. "I like to offer all kinds of à la carte products, because I like to cook according to the inspiration of the moment. The idea is to highlight the product, like a beautiful piece of beef or sea bass, ”he says.
A generous and festive cuisine
In each restaurant, a large slate indicates the dishes concocted by the chef and all the teams. You can savor quality products, classics revisited with influences from the southwest of France in a friendly atmosphere. "Here, we eat with friends and we discuss with our neighbors at the table." Terrines, plancha cooking and meats are particularly honored. "There are always regional influences in my cuisine, whether with Espelette peppers or Basque charcuterie. In terms of taste, the Chef Christian Etchebest is very demanding: he has chosen the best local products from the four corners of the country.
"To please its customers and to have fun: the Cantine fully respects the idea of sharing.
Since then, the Cantine has established itself in the capital as a place of reference in the world of bistronomy. Because more than a restaurant, the Cantine du Troquet, it is a story of passion and taste.
